Squat Cylinder Mallet Bottle James River 1770S
Oldestuffantique store. You are bidding on a english mallet bottle from about the 1770's. The collector we recieved this from stated it was from teh james river, va, he was quite avid about this fact. The lip no the bottle is near perfect, inside and out.
The bottle stands 9 tall, and base is 4 1/4 in diameter. Partial cork is inside. The bottle has an overall patina of very fine scratches. In a 21/2 x 2 1/2 section in the center of the bottle they are more condensed and slightly more pronounced.
The bottle has small evenly spread air bubbles. The inside could use some more cleaning. No chips or cracks. Thanks and good luck.
